Manifesting Inspiration Is Easy

Manifesting Inspiration is like saying "yes please" when the waiter/world offers you fresh ground pepper on your salad. Then when you've had enough you say "good." Easy as that. For me, it's knowing when to say "good." Not that I actually like pepper on my salad necessarily, or that one could ever have too much inspiration on their salad; but the point that I'm trying to make is that as far as mi bloggy is concerned, some things will be naturally filtered out, of course.

One thing that's definately not going to be filtered out is the Spring Ad I did for Cloud 9 Organic Therapy

Nor will I filter out my relentless appetite for chicken for breakfast! Chyuh!
Matches my breakfast!

So down with tat style graffiti/ mixing mediums/styles in any form

No, this is NOT a graffiti Blog. No I don't do graffiti/ aerosol art, but yes I wish I could, and yes, the shyit is awesome.

And yea, I had to make a JBGD stylie version of the Cloud9. This is more ME, fa sho. Notice the tribal inspiration?
Neway.. Looking forward to bringin' it harder with more blog posts than ever up in this motha.

I'd like to give a quick shout out to a girl I met on bart named Helen.. she does user interface design, but it was really her illustrations that caught my attention:

BIRDMEAT
In the next post.. I may or may not pull back the curtains a little on some stuff I've been doing for local denim shop. Yea, you'll get a link for that too. Would you just.. please.. calm down.. you'll get the link.. OK?!? Geeze.

K. Luv U.

P.S. Greg from Forest Books hooked your brother up with a reaaalllylyyy sweet M.C. Escher book.. for Free! Guy has a great heart.. so I thought I'd throw some love here. His store is on 16th between Mission & Valencia. Right here in beautiful San Francisco.

humble beginnings.commmmmmm!

hey there folkz.. i am still finding plenty of inspir8ion in my environment.. although i've been a small kine slacker on the blog (low battery=no photos;) i still managed to meet some cool cats and find some last minute inspiration for a few t-shirt designs; which will be posted in due time, my little droogies. current projects: I'm currently working on ads for an entirely organic nail salon based out of Orinda, California. I will be doing all 4 seasons, one ad for each. Keep your eyes peeled 4 those, but for now.. back to Humble Beginnings.ccooommmm

OMG! that Froggy is stuck in 2-D!

here's Jean Hackman- the true face of Denim here in SF. Fortunate for me, this one-of-a-kind rude-dude and fashion mongol advises me in everything from developing more professional processes for my designs, to keeping physically healthy to increase mental awareness. You could say he's the Master Splinter to my Leonardo, Donatello, Rafael, and Michalangelo (several parallels between me and these turtles include the fact that I'm a new rennaissance artist, as well as the fact that I am a green turtle with multi colored head bands and ninja gear.)

artisan Hummus, goat cheese, salami and fancy bread. This is the lunchables of  a true baller. Jean's hand in the making of..

it wouldn't be Humble Beginnings if it was actually Humble Forevers. Goodbye, inside of my brain...

and hello instatutionalized legitamacy. Not sure if the new white on my walls will drive me more crazy, or help me find other outlets 4 my kre8ivity. maybe both.

caught this girl in a purple hoody spray painting her bed gold. Colorgasm for me. She had also been painting her room on the same day (collective conscious??) Turns out she studies "art therapy" and we have a lot in common. Go figure, SF.

and of course, when it comes to branding-- always rep the OG inspir8ion. ICEE's been killin it like a text fiend since day 1!

INSPIRATION!

Knowing that San Francisco has a tendency (if I'm gonna be shallow about it) to be sometimes grey and a lil grungy (hella grungy,) I knew that it would help me to appreciate colors more and hopefully inspire me to kre8 more vivid kolors in my art worc. Although my art is starting to see some vivid kolors,  I am finding a hightened sense of color not only in my vision but, also in the vision of this girl:

def. inspiring

The girl who made this cover is Ursula Young. Inspiring? I think so.

"Big Thumbs up on that. I LOVE inspiration!"

when ur piggy bank is worth more than the money you have in it.. you know your a collector. This is a cool sandwich spot in oakland with some bomb food.

Nothings inspires me more than custom sandwiches!
Thanks for tuning in!
