"Better late than never."
Being late, though, sometimes, is probably just about as good as never.
Or at least this was the basic message behind a phone call stating that if the booth wasn't entirely set up by day zero,
Holy Stitch might as well stay home. One on-the-spot-decision later from the man in charge, and we were pulling the "ejektor seat" latch on our scheduled flight and loading up half of
mr. hackman's life into a u-haul, and shipping out to vegas first thing saturday. Angels guided us our entire trip. The angels of . . . fashion?

here's Billy, the Chinese God of precision and efficiency, loading the sewing machines |
10 hours later we were filling the tank on this puppy one last time before vegas baby. unfortunatley, i kept leaving HB in the u-haul, so our entire road trip gets summed in a gas station parking lot. |
here's our booth set-up in all its' glory. Holy Stitch All Day:) |
Kriss Nekk and Waylyn through down on a nice arrangement in the front of the booth.
Holy Stitch! just gained 20 HP points. |
I tip my hat to the clever individual(s) who thought this set-up-up. |

Krisss. how lame would you feel in your dumb corvette if you rolled up next to this steezy kat at his typewriter? ARS Steeze.. Project 10 |
Loot from the show:) |
The Brooklyn Circus hosted Project 10, & their booth was right next to Holy Stitch. This is some of their steezy gear. They have a store in SF, NY, and also distribute in Japan. |
My man Bernard James. What can I say? This is straight sophisti-steeze. |
Bernard James' beautiful jewelry and old war set-up. this young man is definitely making it happen. |
i like the way Nchimunya from BKC dresses... a meticulously arranged still life of fabric. And she makes it looks easy too, huh. |
Shoes Shoes Shoes. 3 points for the "sock game" on the left. |
Denim heads unite! This is basically the same scientists that created the the steam engine, reincarnated as denim teknicians. They have a secret society deep within the indigo caves of Atlantis.
Oh yea! This photo is also special because it is a clear shot of a Waylyn in his natural habitat... you can just feel the Waylyn Zone here.. a suprime specimen really... just catching a real photographer in his truest environment this way--These are the moments Humble Beginnings strives to capture; and succeeds. |
Awesome people laugh more. Some of them just so happen to also be very intelligent and well-dressed. Here is a prime example of what it feels like to have the future blowing in your face when you've got tricks under your beard. |
Bernard James and Waylyn giving a class on class. |
a few of BKC's display items that help set the tone of their brand, i suppose. or at least represent it enough to sit with their premium quality gear. |
Shows over. what was the show called though? Project 10. workroom. some pictures tell a thousand words. really in this picture i only focused on two. But hey that's what HB is all about. One step at a time, no what I mean? |
Assertive-Napping Steeze. haha. I think he's saying "Humble Beginnings! YOU $*@^# ROCK! or you might one day! ARGGHH YOU SURE DO SHOW ALOT OF POTENTIAL THOUGH!" |
Who needs actual words when you can find one pseudo-word and just wok away with it? |
